Hello all;
Well, my story is a little bit different.
See I had been diagnosed with kidney cancer (renal cell cancer) and have had a partial nephrectomy. (part of my left kidney removed), but surprizingly I did not require chemo.
I have recently passed my 1 year examination and accourding to the docs I seem to be ok. I have also had brain scans and other test because when one has actually had cancer everything becomes suspicious.
Now I get this lump in my lower lip. Man, I'm thinking I'm toast. So finally I get the courage to do a google which of itself can seem more doom and gloom than necessary.
That's when I run into your site.
Although, I realize that I need to take the extra protection by err on the side of caution and perhaps have the lump tested for cancer. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the information that you have provided here.
At least I will be able to sleep tonight. And that means allot.
The lump fits the bill perfect. As it has shrunk then re-appeared. I also tried to pop it. (I know, I know) and it reacted as others have posted here.
It is slightly annoying and a minute bit amusing. I sometimes find myself playing with it like a little ball between my fingers. Sometimes I forget about it then my tounge reminds me.
I know I got mine cause I have broken tooth that gets sore every now and then. I find that if I create a huge vaccume with my mouth on the broken tooth it creates enough vaccume to tweak the nerve in the tooth which relieves me of the tooth ache pain.
I have also discovered when my tooth was first bothering me to saturate my mouth with generic listerene. You know the strong mediciney type. What I have found is that once the infection is killed in the broken tooth, the tooth ache goes away for good.
I use to struggle greatly with drinking cold milk to actually make the pain go away. But it was brief relief as it would give me perhaps 10 to 20 seconds relief.
It was a great discovery for me to find that the listerene (generic brand) killed the infection which gave me permanent relief.
But that is where another problem came. I found that I could postpone my dental work, which led me to eventually chew on the broken tooth which would lodge food in the tooth.
I have been going through this cycle now for a while. Our local dentistry for people like myself on medicade wont see me unless I win a dental lotto. This is because there is sooo many people lined up for free dental work that they cant all be seen.
Lots of angry people would actually get into fights to be seen. Fight there way in line. So they started a lotto. Thing is you can go there several times before being seen. Spend all day!!!
Anyway, the point is when I get to chewing on that tooth, it impacts it and presses on the nerve. Sucking real hard to make a vaccume pulls the tooth (tweaks) it a little looser and it quits pinching the nerve.
Hence the lump....
Hey you know, sometimes I have to wonder what's next.......!
But thanks for the information!!! Very much apreciated.
