I have been biting my mucoceles

I am pretty confident that what I have are the colorless version of the mucocele, and it is getting really annoying. I used to chew, and when I stopped I started paying closer attention to the inside of my mouth. I noticed one little lump on the inside of my lower lip (1 year ago), and since then I have bitten it, punctured it, and seen other develop. Has anyone else ever bitten into one of these things? If so, what happened? I am starting to think I need to go back to the doctor for another confirmation that this is not cancer. When I bite into my lip, it gets extremely swollen...I never seem to be able to pop the culprit...any help would be appreciated!
Phun, I never bit my mucocele but I've heard from a lot of people that they've popped theirs and had puss-like stuff come out of it, almost like a pimple. I've also heard they can bleed quite a bit from popping/biting. I'm going to venture a guess that this isn't the best idea to get rid of them. Have you been to the doctor to have this looked at yet? I'd definitely recommend if you haven't that you do, just to make sure it is a mucocele and then you can decide from there whether you want to live with it or have it removed.
Hey! I had my mucocele for nearly6 months before I had it removed. During that time I bit it MANY times! At first when I did, puss would come out. At other times just blood. While something DID come out, the lump never seemed to go down. I agree that you should see a doctor and get the dumb thing removed! Mine has been gone for 6 months and I am sooooooo glad it's gone! Everytime I think of that stupid thing and the pain it cost me, I would encourage anyone with one of those to get it removed!
Yep, I've had one on my lower lip for about 6 weeks and I've bitten it HARD a couple of times. Hurts like the dickens, and it swelled up with blood, but didn't puncture. Took a couple of days for it to go back down and the blood to reabsorb. I wish I could just bite the damn thing off, but that doesn't seem possible. I even tried lancing mine before I got it diagnosed, and nothing came out but a little bit of blood. My dermatologist says it's not a lanceable condition. Don't bother trying to pop it. You will just cause yourself pain, and I don't think it will do any good long-term.
