so yeah thanks for setting up this forum it helped a lot. I had mine for about 4 weeks and gave up hope that it would go away by itself. I don't care about the pain or whatever, I just want to get rid of it - it's on my lower lip from the inside. So I'm really worried that my lip will look swollen and stuff. I got a wisdom tooth removed a few months ago and didn't have a problem with that so hopefully this will go just as smoothly. Wish me luck! I'll update on how it went.

Mine was also on the inside of the lower lip and I didn't have any problems with swelling. Hopefully the same will go for you! Good luck with the surgery, and don't forget to update us!

so the surgery itself - i didn't feel a thing and was able to remain really calm. They cut out a pretty huge chunk (a ball the size of a big pea, maybe 7mm in diameter).

Once the anasthetics wore off, yeah it did hurt worse than i had expected. I took painkillers and i was fine but eating and laughing is still a hassle. I also have to drink a lot and have a dry mouth. well today it has been better and I don't need the painkillers anymore. The lip is still quite swollen, like i had a fight or something, but my doctor said it would be that way. I have 4 stitches which should dissolve during the weekend, hopefully. And then I can be really happy that it's gone.

okay almost two weeks later, i'm quite happy that i had this done, the stitches dissolved after a week and it was quite uncomfortable for a few days. The healing went pretty well and although i can still feel where it used to be, i am so glad that it's GONE.
