well here we are a week later. good news first- my lip is almost completely healed. no more swelling- the stitiches are all gone. But i will say there is a tiny lump of scar tissue i guess and bit of nerve damage in that i have no feeling on that part of my lip anymore. its strange. anyways, just thought id let you guys know!

The scar tissue will generally shrink a little bit over time. Massage it and it should help.
The feeling may return, or may not. It's been over a year and I still have no feeling, but you'll get more used to it.

I have nerve damage also, numbness, tingling, and sensitivity to hot and cold (when I drink something hot or cold, it feels like there is a slit or a hole in my lip, the heat/coldness shoots down that nerve). My surgery was in June.
