Hi im from Mexico and i think i may be having a mucocele (sorry for my bad english) ive had this small lump(less than a cm) in my mouth for like a year and a half not knowing what i it was i kept popping it, and it kept comming back. usually it just looks like a whitish dot in my lip but every now and then it fills whit fluid and i end up popping it again.
concerned i started looking for "lump in my mouth" and here i am i hope you can answer a few of my cuestions
is it normal for mucoceles to "pop" or i may have another problem?
is there any other treatment besides having it surgicaly removed?

I have heard of people popping their mucoceles, but most of the time they also say they reappeared. I'd suggest you stop popping it and go see a doctor about it, just to be sure it is a mucocele. I've also never heard of any treatments other than surgery, but it's not as bad as you may think! It's painless, I promise!
I popped mine with a safety pin a few times and it always filled back up with fluid. Have you seen the other threads here with the links to pictures of mucoceles? That may be helpful for you in determining if you have a mucocele. Also your Doctor could help you.
