A lump appeared in my lower lip in January this year after 2 weeks of it appearing I had it diagnosed by a nurse (as i'm not registered with a GP in the UK) by that time it was about the size of a small pea.
She recomended I go to a GP to have it removed.
I went on several forums for advice and decided to just ignore the Mucocele and get on with my life, it was pretty large and annoying for about a month, but then it started to shrink in size and now it's completely gone!
My advice is if it just stays the same size after a couple of weeks just wait at least 8 weeks for it to shrink before having it removed as I heard on other forums that some people who had surgery had recurring Mucocele's return again and again as sometimes surgery aggravates the area causing more to appear and that definately put me off going for surgery.
