Kanka For Mucocele

I have had good luck with Kanka. I put this on my mucocele a few times and it seems to go right down. The problem -- after I stop it seems to grow back. I have seen on here that some people have used Canker remedies for Mucocele's and I was wondering if anyone else had tried them. I am guessing that there is some sort of medication in the Kanka and or the protection it offers the mucocele helps it drain or dries it up. But I am wondering why this works so well to reduce it. Does anyone else find this ?
It is a liquid Canker remedy that you put on a canker and it forms a protective seal around -- like a light layer of skin -- eventually it wears off. It is made by blistex.
Does not sound like a long term solution. Sounds like it just preserves a sort of mucocele status quo. If that is correct, I do not see it as a solution. Drying up a mucocele is not a long term solution because the thing is still there. Given a choice between surgery and putting that product on my lip for the rest of my life, well, surgery is an easy answer.
Mine is on the soft pallet and I don't want surgery if I can help it -- but I was hoping if Kanka can make it shrink it must do something to it? Will it make it go away?
I have this feeling it wont go away perminately... I used a clean pin, burned and disinfected it and popped mine for temperary comfort, I hope that works for a bit. I will let you all know in a few days. I cannot feel it and it drained a lot of fluid and feels so much better not hanging around distracting me. After doing this and reading about this mucocele, I am not sure this popping was a great idea, becauses there seems to be a gland that needs to be taken out so it doesnt keep coming back. I think I will not get kanka for this problem.
