About 1 year ago I fell asleep face down in such a way as to bite my lower lip. I woke up with a large indentation and the lower lip was numb for a bit.
Shortly after this darkish lump appeared and has remained there the exact same ever since. it is about 3-4mm wide and about 2mm high. It can shift it around a bit and it is soft. Does not hurt either. it is more of a purple reddish colour.

I can't be sure, but it does sound like a mucocele. Of course only a doc can tell you for sure. Since it does shift around a bit, sounds like an angry salivary gland. They're very touchy. I recommend seeing a doc as soon as you can. Having a mucocele is not dangerous per se, but it can be a huge annoyance and unsightly. Good luck and I hope you get a resolution soon. :-)
