Laser Removal Scheduled

I got a mucocle Labor Day weekend, and went through the usual: popping it, swelling and shrinking, antibiotics. I finally went to an oral surgeon and he is gonna remove it with a CO2 laser. I let you guys know how this turns out, especially the recovery part. Doc said two self-disolving stiches, week long healing time. Its scheduled for Thurs, so hopefully, it will be mostly healed in about a week. Peace.
Mine was done with a CO2 laser. I had 4 stitches and they stayed in about 8 days before dissolving. The surgery was relatively painless (the gas was great) and the recovery was a breeze. I have just a slight bit of scar tissue, but that is getting better each week. Good luck!
Anyone heard of lip deformation after laser surgery? I know some people have problems after getting it removed with a scalpel, but I don't know about laser. I just dont want scar tissue that is worse than my mucocele and probably more permanent.
With my CO2 surgery, they made the incision with the laser, but they still used a scalpel to do some cutting and some other instrument to actually pull out the gland. The laser is also used to cauterize the site which makes healing time shorter because there is less bleeding, bruising, and swelling.
