I must have had one, it is gone BUT....

So months ago I definitely had a mucucele under my tongue, not on the underside of my tongue, but underneath, right where the salivary glands are, right... so that went away, but lately I've noticed that when I compare the left area of under my tongue to the right area, (where the mucucele appeared), that the whole area of the right side is generally more inflammed and lumpy. Is that normal? Is it the glands acting up? Is it from obsessively poking around with my tongue, maybe? I don't think it's just in my head, so I hope that someone has something to say about this.
