Do I have one of these infamous mucoceles?

Good site for all of us mouth problem people. Here is my story/situation:

Just a little over a month ago I hadn't ate all day and was aggressively eating
a delicious chicken sandwich. In the mean time, I very firmly bit into the bottom
part of my inside mouth just below the bottom of my lip and then it surfaced. Can't
determine if it's a blood blister or mucocele. It is kinda red and was going away
until I eat hard/salty foods which seems to make it go back. While apparently going away it starts to look a whiter and softer. Any help/advice or diagnosis would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys and best of luck to all of you.

Your issue sounds just like mine. I bit my lower lip about 2 weeks ago. I then noticed this small lump where I had bit down. It is kind of hard, but not painful. After a week, it seemed to be going away, until I had some very salty chips. Then is seemed to come right back. After the effect of the salt wore off, it went back down. I didn't go away, but it really doesn't annoy me so much.

After looking at the pics and reading all of the posts, I definitely think it is a mucoceles. Especially since salivary glands are effected by salt. I guess I will call my dentist to have them look at it.

Yeah I'm crossing my fingers that mine will actually will go away. If it doesn't in a few weeks I will call the dentist also and have it removed. No fun but we'll see. Would be elated if it went away itself. Please let me know what your dentist says. Thanks and any other help would be great if interested.
