Had mine removed 2 days ago. The whole process took about 40 minutes. The oral surgeon actually showed the mass that was removed from my lower lip. I was amazed. Didn't think it would be so big, about 1.5 cm round. Removal was almost painless. The first couple of days have been just a lot of discomfort.
My lower lip is now all puffed up on the left side. Called the doctor's office and they told me it's normal. Will this swelling ever go away? Is there anything I can?

Were you told to use ice? When I had mine removed my surgeon instructed me to hold an ice pack on my lip. He suggested 30 minutes on and thirty minutes off. He said if I did this for at least the first 24-48 hrs that it would help with the swelling. I followed his instructions and the swelling was minimal.
