I'm pretty sure I have a mucocele... After looking around online I'm 99% sure that's what it is. Thing is, I'm between jobs right now, so I'm uninsured. :( I'm going to see a dentist Monday but if I have to get it surgically removed, anyone have any idea what it will cost me?
By the way, I am terrified right now... After seeing pictures of removal and hearing stories, I am beyond scared of this procedure.
Job interviews and lip swelling is also not a good combination.. This thing popped up at the worst possible time...

I was charged by my oral surgeon $65 for the initial office visit(consultation), $250 for the surgery. There also was a $165 pathology charge for the biopsy. Most of the cost was covered by my insurance.
All total, it cost $650 with an oral surgeon and $145 from pathology. My portion was $195. I live in Virginia Beach so I'm not sure what rates would be in other areas of the country.
My consultation was $50 and the removal (laser) with biopsy is $350. Insurance is being billed afterward, so I am not sure how much my insurance will pick up... But they said probably around $150.
