I've asked David to add a new section to this forum. It seems most people make good recoveries from these surgeries but there are some of us haven't and want to create a space for sharing and also sharing information that could help us.

I speak for myself. My lips are now wonky, thin, numb and stiff. The scar is very raised and vibrates. Being as my lips are how I express myself to the world it feels like it's a huge impediment, albeit a small thing to look at.

I'm interested to find out if there are other people around like us and how this affects you on a day to day basis. Myself and several others are desperate to find a solution so we can feel whole again. This section is for you to post any information you feel could be useful. This could be from conventional plastic surgery to alternative healings and we are even interested in the weird and wonderful Yes we would even consider miracles if you know of any!

For the people who are unhappy about their surgery, the biggerst problems seem to be discomfort of the scar tissue, problems smiling normally, dribbling, lack of sensation and the dip in the lip which prevents the lips from sealing and funcitoning normally. These may not sound major issues, however, if you have to live with these difficulities, it can feel quite debilitating and all of us feel that it affects our quality of life and struggle with the whole thing every microsecond of our lives.

If you think you have any solutions to any of the above, here is the place to post. We are open to all suggestions and we hope that by sharing our global knowledge we will have a chance to improve or even better eradicate the problems we've been left with.

We invite you to post your comments here and look forward to hearing from you.

For over a year I have had them on my soft palate. I have had them removed twice, and twice they have flared back up. My ENT specialist believes it's do to the trauma caused by having them cut out. Seeing that it is located near the scar tissue from the removal.

My doctor told me that unless they do not burst and drain, become hard, or become very painful there is no need to keep having them removed and biopsied any longer. as long as I can live with them.

The bump is always there but about twice a week it will swell up, begins about the size of a very tiny clear BB and in about a day it will drain and go back down. I believe it's because of the location, being near my uvula that when I swallow food. It's really annoying and the fact I am always feeling for it with my tongue because I know it's there doesn't help also LOL

So If anybody else has problems with them re-occuring after the surgery...you are not alone and it is something you can live with. My doctor told me he's heard of people having them for years. It's not dangerous...JUST REALLY ANNOYING!
