Wow...what a great site...I don't feel so wierd any more.
Long story short....chewed tobacco for over 20 years. Had some white spots on my soft palate near my tonsil...had them removed for biopsy by an ENT (clean...phew)...then the mucocele started. :^(
ENT could remove it, but I chose an oral surgeon. Took it out, and let it heal without stitching...came back :^(. Thought I would just learn to live with it coming and going...but drove me crazy.
Went to different oral surgeon who took it out...this time with a couple stitches...this time it did the job. It flared up once about 2 weeks after the surgery, but has not been back in over a year.
