ive got a lump right inside my lower lip, it doesnt hurt(well when i dont bite it on accident), its not colored and its fairly firm and feels like a small ball. it went away before i could see a dr but now its back. its really annoying since its right there when i talk and chew and u can see it when i talk and smile, what is it?
Sounds like a mucocele.....go to a dentist rather than a doctor ...and ask for a referral to an oral surgeon
thnx. i also have small white bumps on the inside corns of my mouth, they look like white heads but inside my mouth. they also dont, could they be related or something different. also to remove the mucocele is it always a surgical procedure? its 2wks before xmas and would really prefer not to have surgery but also dont want a big lump hanging out of my mouth
The white bumps may be salivary gland stones...related but not quite the same.
The oral surgeon could explain your options re surgery or other things. If Christmas is a concern, you may have to wait until after for any option, but may as well get in to see the dentist and oral surgeon and see what they say.
