I had my mucocele removed over 10 years ago and I still find it hard to cope with the scar tissue. It is very tight and hard and makes my lips feel abnormal. I am a teacher and it is really hard to focus. I have been on a quest looking for safe and effective remedies. The scar means my lower lip is stiff, numb and wonky when I smile. However, the worst thing is it is thin and lifeless and it is very uncomfortable.

There is very little information available so if you know of anything useful, please post it here as I'm not alone with this problem and we could all benefit.

I have been doing some research into Cold Laser Therapy which is meant to be harmless and regnerative.

Does anyone have any experience of using cold or soft lasers? If you have experience in this field or know of another useful remedy then please, please post here. I'm sure we'd all like to hear the pros and cons.

Thanks

Currently I have a a scar tissue inside my upper lip that I had from a trauma about 3 months ago, I'm seeing an Oral surgeon and I'm considering kenalog shots to dissolve it. I had one about 2 weeks ago, it took some of it down so I'm very pleased.I have an appt next week I'll update here and let you know.
