My daughter has what we believe to be a mucocele after much research on the internet and finding this site. Geez, what a weird thing to have. In some weird way, we feel better that she is not alone. I am thankful for the site, but have read some positives as well as negatives and for a little bump in the mouth, this all seems rather scary in terms of removal. UGH! We have an appointment with general dentist today....mostly going through the motions to get a referral for oral surgeon to discuss options.
Does anyone have experience with a mucocele forming while having barces? How have the braces affected the recovery process after removal? Ironically we think the braces are what may have caused the trauma to the lower lip (newly installed wire was poking her).
