I have a single fairly hard lump ..upper mouth, outer gum, high up, almost into the mouth tissue. It's almost white my girlfriend says but more pinkish. I have had it at least one week. It doesn't hurt but it's a bit of a tickle as it's on a nerve or something. I can press my face/cheek and it gives me a wierd tickle sensation. It's not very big.
This isn't a location a mucocele could be is it? It's not a salivary gland location either it it - being that it's on the gum although high.
Anyway... worried. Thoughts?

get it checked out. it sounds harmless.. it doesnt sound like oral cancer....but better safe then sorry
Absolutely. Thank you for the reply. You're right it's not looking like oral cancer... Should I just see a dentist or see my primary care doctor? Even an experienced dentist can't make a diagnosis right?
I'd go to the dentist. It may be an infection.

a dentist can do a brush biopsy and they do know more about mouth conditions then a MD might.
