Just been referred to Oral Surgeon can anybody help?

I have had a large moveable solid lump on my top gum for about 4 weeks the lump hurts when touched, the lump is the same colour as the gum, the dentist tried to lance it but no fluid came out of it. She said she had never seen anything like it before, Today I have been referred to the oral surgeon as urgent and should be seen this week does this sound like a Mucocele? If not any ideas what it could be I am worring myself stupid!!!!
