Hello everyone, I'm so happy to have found this website... It's nice to know I'm not the only one with the crazy lip...
Here's my current story:
I got braces about 5 months ago and the mucocele appeared about 2 months ago and grew bigger and bigger then started taking getting kinda taller until it would actually fit under the wire for my braces between two of the brackets when my mouth was closed... it was pretty weird looking... more of a thin and tall rather than bubble looking mucocele
I had it surgically removed with local anesthesia and everything was fine for about a week... then I started noticing that a new mucocele was growing right over the scar tissue...
Ive read many of your posts and it seems that some people have had mucoceles come back again and again. I'm contemplating getting this one removed again as though it doesnt cost much for me to do so
Should I do it? Is it even worth it with braces or is it pretty much guaranteed to come back?
What do you guys think wearing wax around the brackets that come in contact with my mucocele do?
