I've been using the Listerine treatment for the past...3 days or so. So far it's working great. I use a small amount and just let it sit on the bottom of my mouth (where my mucocele is). The first few times it stung but now it's not stinging at all. Good I guess? Anyhow, I've had this thing since early January. And this treatment comes with great relief. Hopefully it takes it away and keeps it away!

I can't think that Listerine would work. A mucocele forms when the small salivary duct is damaged and allows the saliva to pool making a little balloon. Why should listerine or any other mouthwash make it go away? Let us know what happens.

Yeah first try didn't work :(. I was hopeful after reading some of the other posts where they said Listerine worked. What a bummer, looks like I'll be making an appointment with an oral surgeon soon. :(

I had a mucocele for 2 months. I tried the salt treatment. didn't work. was getting frustrated. started the listerine treatment. during the week of listerine treatment, i was eating some granola and a sharper piece pricked a hole in my mucocele and it started to drain. i wasn't too excited because this happened before and it always came back. however, this time, the same week of my listerine treatment, i woke up the next day and it was PRACTICALLY GONE!! i now have a tiny tiny bump on my lower lip but it's not noticeable and i forget it's there. not sure how to prick a hole in yours and not sure whether it was because of the listerine or because time had run its course, but this is what happened to me. it has now been gone for 2 weeks. i'm praying it does not return.
