I got a mucocele back in December from accidently biting the same spot on my lip a few times while eating. I had it for 3 months, it fluctuated in size the whole time and was very annoying. I was about to go to an oral surgery walk-in clinic here in Boston when I found this site and read about the Listerine treatment.
First, I drained the mucocle with a sterilized needle, then used the listerine 4-5 times a day and it slowly disappeared over the course of a month! I can see where it was, but now it looks like a tiny bump the color of the rest of the inner lip skin, whereas before it was always harder and white. I still use the listerine but only twice a day, and so far so good!
