so I read up on this thing once I found out I had one. Went to an ENT and he removed it. I asked him about the whole procedure, what kind of incision would he make, yatta yatta, how many stitches etc.
He said no stitches.
So i'm sitting here with this annoying gash in my lip thats pretty much wide open.
He said theres actually a much lower chance of it being infected because theres so much bacteria in the mouth its better to have it open so all the bacteria is competing and never gets a chance to really get a foot hold. If he sutured it then maybe only one germ would get in and then it would flourish and get all infected under the stitches.
I am rinsing with salt water several times daily and also swabbing it with peroxide after eating.
Am I doin it right?

Yup...the first time I had one out, they left it open. Takes longer to heal up, but he's got the right idea
