After looking at this forum and seeing the pictures online, Im almosst positive that what my daughter has on the inside of her bottom lip is a mococele. It has been
there for 2 months and last week I took her to her regular doctor......she did
not say what she thought it may be, just told us that she wanted to give us a referral
to an oral surgeon, and that he would most likely remove it. Wonderful right?? WRONG!!
So this week, two days ago, I take her to what I was told was the Oral Surgeon, which
in fact turned out to be an Oncology surgeon.....anyway, since I suffer with panic
disorder I am in the lobby having a full blown panic attack thinking my child is gonna
die! (I always assume the worst) so we get in the room, the Dr comes in and looks
at it.......and hints that she may have some sort of blockage in a salivary duct! He says
he does not want to just cut on her right away (keep in mind it has already been there 2 months) swelling and shrinking popping and returning.......still does not say the term "mucocele" so here we are and Im thinking I am gonna try this listerine thing
over the weekend and if there are no results I am going to call an ORAL surgeon.
If anyone has any advice please let us know
