I think I have a mucocele and I'm not sure who I should see about it. Should I see a dentist or a regular doc? To see a ENT did you have to have a referral for insurance purposes, or can you just go to one of those straight away?

When I saw my regular doctor, she didn't know what it was. But I was at my orthodontist one day, and he just happened to notice it and say, "So, you have a mucocele?" He referred me to an oral surgeon, who took care of it in 10 minutes. Anyway, I think you should go to a dentist just because they're more likely to know about specific oral health issues. I'm not sure about ENTs, but good luck!
