After a 'curious' examination of what it seemd he stated that the bump on my inner lower lip was a probable mucocele. Now I've had one before and it's gone away spontaniously but this one is more annoying. It got in the way of eating once and I bit into it and now its kinda slightly detached from the underlying skin on one side. Does that mean that it's probably not going to heal on its own now? When I bit it by accident it did bleed a little bit. Has anyone else experienced that? I kinda feel like this has happened to me before but I can't recall exactly -- im kinda paranoid about it as well since its not fully 'attached'.(however its FAR from peeling off my lip)
Also, which I found strange was that it got smaller the day i woke up when i went to the dentist for him to examine it. Now the next day over the course of maybe an hour or 2 it grew big again.. why does it do that? Where is it draining to and why can't it fully drain?
And lastly, short of lancing it myself which I attempted and failed too(and later was told not to irritate it by the dentist cuz it will stay around longer), what methods (mouth washes or something) can help reduce it? And if I do hafta go to the oral surgeon (dentist said in 3 weeks if it isnt starting to get smaller) I don't wanna have the surgery, how does the marsupilization work or w.e.?
