Hi I have a small bluish lump on the inside of my lower lip, i noticed it about 3 months ago and today i seen that it has grown a little in size.
Can this be cancer or just a mucocele. It doesnt seem to have any mucous or anything in it bu t a blue colour like the clour of small veins.
Can anyobe offer advice or information please?

Mucoceles can be a bit bluish.

Could it be cancer ?? Sure, but I'd guess the odds are against it, especially if it's a smooth and well defined bump. Still, if worried, go to your dentist, and probably a referral to an oral surgeon.

thanks bigjohny, i lanced it a few times with an acupuncture needle, seems to have gone down alot after some blood came out, could have been a burst blood capiliary inside, its still there though but smaller now, im going to the dentist today anyway, thanks for your reply, David
