I've been on penicillin for a week now due to an absess in upper front tooth. I noticed an encapsulated very hard lump on my lower front gum that seemed suddenly more noticeable. I thought it might be some sort of result of the antibiotic. I took a disinfected very fine needle and opened it. Fluid came out and now there is a white ulcer on the gum. Any idea what it is? I don't think it fits the description of thrush. I think it was there before the absess happened, appearing shortly after some dental work was done.
