I recently, and painfully, burst a mucocele against my gum. It did not break the mucosa but simply spread out beneath the tissue.
Will I have done any harm?

I would say no....mine would flatten out and then "bloom" again in a cycle
Next time you're at the dentist, have them take a look at it
