I tried evening primrose oil treatment and it worked for me too...3 days and 60% reduction..it's a bit hard inside now but I hope that goes away. Thanks guys!
Hi everyone! I had this mucocele in my mouth for about three months now. I have tried everything, e.g rinsing with salt and water and /or Listerine, etc...when i read this post, I was given a hope that this thing in my mouth will eventually disappear forever! I tried the EPO treatment for four nights nowand still have not found any improvement. Maybe there's something wrong with how I apply it. Should I prick the lump so it will have a little opening and the EPO will kinda be absorbed inside? Or will it be rubbed just on the coat of the lump? Any other thing u have tried and worked?
Hi, I'm on a working holiday in Australia, staying in Melbourne at the moment and I would really like to know who is that GP you went to see for your mucocele. I have had a mucocele for more than a month and it's not going away, I went to the emergency before Christmas, but they gave me an appointment with a plastics specialist (dunno why not ENT doctor??) in two months. That's quite far away... if you could give contact info for that GP, that would be very appreciated. Thanks.

Tonight, I finally got fed up with the mucocele on my lower lip, which I've had for many years. I am so pleased that I found this website. I've read lots of comments, and I think I'll try alternating with salt, Evening Primrose Oil and Tabasco Sauce. I'm really excited about the prospect of seeing my mucocele vanish before my eyes.

Update - Primrose Oil isn't working. Initially it reduced the bump but then it wouldn't go down anymore and now it's just bigger :(
I am going to try Alum and if that doesn't work - surgery. Which makes me nervous but I am tired of having lop sided angelina lips.
Hi guys! I had my mucocele for about three months. I have been using and applying different remedies just to make it disappear for good. when i read articles from this site, I was able to use EPO...at its first week, i have not observed any improvements yet...I lost hope. I decided to really continue using EPO religiously. ...I used it every night before I sleep. I swab a fluid on my mucocele and make a little circular and gentle massage on it. For weeks and weeks of using, I saw an amazing improvement! There was also one thing that I added...I brush my teeth using Colgate Triple Action...and one more very important thing I did, I prayed hard to God that my mucocele will be gone and healed soon...and now, my mucocele is gone...thank God!
I went to see my dentist about this issue and he casually said there was no way to get rid of these pumps in my mouth without surgery. I wasn't to bothered until I learned that it would take 6 months to get in and see a Surgeon. I knew there must be some way for a healthy male to heal his own body, so I haven't started this treatment yet but I am confident it will work. I will update the group on how it goes.
