Boy am I happy I saw this forum!
I was happily eating dinner at a nice restaurant when suddenly I notice this hard, painless, small pea size lump inside my lower lip. I swear my heart skipped a beat!
I remember having bitten my lip on that same spot a couple of times relatively recently so my question was, have I been biting myself because I have this lump and haven't noticed it? or, did I cause this lump because I bit it? Of course I was having dreadful cancer thoughts.
From what I have been reading it probably is a mucocele but I will have it looked by a preferably oral surgeon on monday, unless my insurance requires I see my dentist first. I don't much like my dentist, I've been thinking about switching dentists, but I really like the oral surgeon that removed my kids' wisdom teeth.
I can at least sleep more peacefully after I've read this forum and know these things are fairly common.
Thanks!
