FEVER and MUCOCELE..Please read this and respond if possible..thank you
A few days ago I wrote a post about my 3yr old son titled worried about my 3yr old... Well today he has a very high fever and I need to know if this could be because of the mucocele?? We've scheduled the surgery for Friday but I'm really worried and need to know if this fever could be because of the mucocele? The Dr. is closed and if I can't get the fever down I will go to the ER he is not sick no ear infection nothing like that.. Please if you have any info on this respond...Thank You
I'm gonna say no.....mucoceles are not infections, and shouldn't cause fevers.
Johnny , Thanks for responding your right one had nothing to do with the other.. He has a viral infection and the fever actually came out days before the rest of the symptons.. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't the mucocele since he had no other symptoms. It actually took 4 days before he had any other symptoms and the Dr could diagnose it..
