CO2 laser?

I'm seriously scared after reading all these posts about excessive scar tissue resulting from the surgery and the possibility of the lips never returning to normal. I'm considering the CO2 laser. Some websites claim it's not a good solution because the heat generated from it can cause new mucocles to form and it may not even completely get rid of the original mucocele. Does anyone know who where I can find a doctor who will perfrom this? Do I just look for a plastic surgeon in my area? Has anyone else had this done? If so, did it recoccur?
I just wanted to chime in and say I haven't heard much about the laser surgery. I got mine removed with a scalpel, and it went fine. Scarring happens, but it's pretty rare.

Do NOT use a CO2 laser. It will remove FAR MORE material than you need to have removed and could cause disfigurement depending on the location of the mucocle.
Have it removed by scalpel.
Have it removed by scalpel.
