Hi all,

I just wanted to say that I really appreciate being able to get information from this site.  My son has had a mucocele for about 6 months now.  We saw an oral surgeon a week ago and she recommended having it removed.  She is going to make on vertical incision and remove the mucocele.  She has come highly recommended but I am still really nervous about doing this.  My son will be put under general anesthesia as he is so young and afraid of shots.  Is this the best thing to do?  We have tried to evening primrose oil and that didn't work for us.  I am really nervous and don't really want to make the appointment to have it done, but the mucocele is so large.   Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks,

Jennifer

I recommend going thru with it.

Oral surgeons are the experts on these buggers...and the odds on it going away on its own or with other topical aids are not good...possible but not good.
