lump in mouth
Hi
I've been reading posts about lumps in the mouth and I need your help. I have a movable lump in mouth. When I touch it it disappears. It seems to be under the skin, not visible, but I can only feel it. It is at the bottom of my lip near my gum. I did chew off and on for about 6 years. I am 27 now. I saw my dentist about it and he said it was nothing. Should I go get another opinion from my oral surgeon. I am driving myself crazy googling it. It all leads to cancer. Also, I am aware of my risk and have been screened at least once a year for cancer of the mouth.
Thanks,
Tony

My thought....in short...yes get another opinion from an oral surgeon. I say this, not because it sounds like anything serious, but it's obvious that you are concerned and not completely satisfied with the dentist's answer. It's worth spending a few more bucks to get some peace of mind.
P.S.--take a read of this post I put out a while back...
