Mucocele removal

My son has had this "bump" in his mouth for four or five months. I took him to the doctor and she told me it was Mucocele. She said it might go away on it's own, but if it gets bigger to bring him back in. Well... last night he was chewing gum, and this morning he woke up and it was HUGE bigger then marble size. Was this because of the gum? Also, will an ENT do the surgery?

Melissa....I would recommend an oral surgeon rather than an ENT. An ENT would prolly do it, but my experience is that oral surgeons have seen and dealt with these a lot more than ENTs...process would be the same too.
