Strange Lump in Mouth
I have had a quick read through this forum trying to work out if what I have is a mucocele. However I can only find descriptions of lumps on the inside of the lip or cheek. I have a small lump, that appeared maybe 3-4 days ago on the bottom of my mouth, behind my teeth. It is a small pea shape, and it is solid/hard. Does this sound like a mucocele and should I be getting it checked out?
Could be a mucocele....on the floor of the mouth under the tongue, they're called rannula
You can get mucoceles almost anywhere in your mouth ...even on the roof of your mouth.
Best bet is to see an oral surgeon...they are specialists...
If it's only 3 or 4 days, stopped worrying about it! It could be lots of minor, temporary things. If it's still there in 3 or 4 MONTHS, then it might be mucocele.
DON'T try to pop it. Just keep up a good dental hygeine routine and see if the problem resolves itself on its own.
