Under the Tongue
I have had a lump, under my tongue (between the floor of the mouth and the floor of my tongue - on the conective tissue) for a few years now. Never hurt, grew or really bothered me. My dentist told me to have my doctor look at it, but I postponed until recently.
To make a long story short the Otolarynologist says its a mucocele - oddly placed and oddly small - as its in the perfect spot for a ranula (term for a mucocele under the tongue) but that he would expect it to be much larger where it is. I am having it removed next month and am really wondering if anyone else has gone threw this?
I have found a LOT of wonderful chatter on here, but it all seems to be about the ones on the lips and I wonder how much different and more/less pain I will be in when its the tongue going under the knife.
