White Pea Sized Lump On The Inside Of Lower Lip
I have the same thing. When I google Mucocele, it says the bump is usually clear... mine however is white too. I don't know what to think, I'm nervous. I had my dentist look at it yesterday (I have one just inside my lower lip, and another one that is much smaller and further down from that first one). He said he thinks it's a "virus" but wants to check it again in two weeks. He took a picture of it and said if it doesn't go away he will refer me to an oral surgeon. I said do you think it's cancer, and he said no, don't worry, it's not cancer. But how can I not worry? He said if he sends me to an oral surgeon, they may want to remove it and biopsy it. He said he thinks the bumps in my case are stress-related as that is what often brings on the virus that he suspects and also I bite my lip alot and suck my cheek sometimes into my teeth, basically I do things to irriate that area anyway which doesn't help. He said my immune system is probably down a bit. My big worry is that I have HPV which is linked to oral cancer, otherwise I would not be so worried. I have been under alot of stress though and am trying to manage it better; I am just hoping that these bumps are smaller or have gone away by the time I see my dentist in two weeks so that I don't have to worry about it. I was glad to see your post that yours are white because when you google Mucocele, it describes them as being clear. Mine are definitely not clear but white in color.
