a lump on my tongue

I've had this lump looking thing on underneath my tongue and I don't know what it is it sometimes gets stiff an its sometimes soft and it sometimes looks like its going to go away but it doesn't. do any of you know any treatments for this I wanna put some pictures up but I don't know how
