Lump inside upper lip after getting punched

New Years day I got punched in the face. My upper left lip puffed up. After a week the swelling went down. However now I can feel a small lump inside my upper lip where the swelling was.
There are no protrusions or anything visible as far as I can see. Has anyone had a similar experience?

There is no visible sign of the lump or I would post a picture. I even took a small flashlight and shined it through my lip looking for discoloration, alien implants, or anything really. It all looks the same.
It's not painful when I squeeze it with my fingers. Feels just like the other side of my lip, but with a small lump inside.
Did u go to a doctor..u should get it checked bfore it becomes bigger,trust me u dun want that...i hav a lump on my lower lip and its visible when i talk amd quite big..had it for 2 years now..so uncomfortable when people kept staring at it

I think the best thing to do for the lip is to put ice before it gets bigger because i also got hitt on the lip a lil ago and as soon as it happened i knew it could get worse so i put ice in it and it looks way better in just one and a half days i was pretty scared at the bigging to be honest because i thoght it wold make my lip huge for a long time but because i put ice right away its almost gone(:

It may be a mucocele. As mucocele occurs after an impact, trauma or if you accidentally bit your lips too hard. Best to consult a doctor. Peace out ^^
