What is this white lump any ideas

I don't know, but I have one that is very similar.  I've had tonsiliths in the past, but those were easy to scrape out.  I'd just use the back of my toothbrush and scrape from beneath it up and the stuff would come right up and out. 

The soft white bump that I have (that looks like yours) receeds mostly when I push on it and nothing comes out of it.  I noticed mine about a month ago.  I thought it would go away, but it appears to be getting bigger.  I am calling today to get a doctor's appointment.

I'm 30.  I don't smoke or drink.  My eating a balanced diet is not spectacular, but overall pretty good.

The location of my bump makes it difficult to get a good picture and I tried for about 5 minutes or so. 

I will post my updates as I learn things because I've been using the internet to gather info.  I want to be helpful to others as they've been helpful to me.
