Mucocele in Back of Mouth Behind Teeth - Reoccuring Blister

So here is the deal.  In 2009 I noticed a blister in the back of my mouth after I ate.   At first I thought it was something I ate but nothing seemed to consistently trigger the reaction.  I get a blister on day one, it looks like a ulser on day two, day three it is about gone and on day four there is no evidence it was ever there.  Day five or six it returns and so the cycle continues.  My oral surgeon removed it, or so I thought last October (2010).  While my throat was still raw and healing the blister came back right next to the crater the surgeon cut out.  Last week, after months of working with an ENT, the blister was cut out again.  Day six after surgery the blister came back this time below the new even larger crater that was cut out.  What gives here?  Is there any hope?  Does anyone know anyone in Arizona that can help me get rid of this forever???

HELP...  I seriously don't know what else to do.

Did the oral surgeon and the ENT do biopsies to confirm that the "blister" was a mucocele and that they got the underlying salivary glands? Several things are possible: (1) they didn't go wide enough and deep enough to get all the blocked minor salivary glands; When mucoceles go up and down in size, they may not get it all if it isn't at its biggest when you have the surgery; (2) the surrounding tissue got injured by the surgery and so a new mucocele formed as a result of new minor salivary glands being blocked, and (3) what kind of instructions were you given post-op? Did you eat soft food on the other side of your mouth, not drink anything really hot, keep the wound really clean with gentle salt water rinses, etc. until the area healed after the surgery (usually about 3-4 weeks, even if it looks ok sooner). The tissue is really fragile and it is easy to reinjure it.I've had 3 mucoceles on my soft palate over a 3 year period, near the uvula (the thing that hangs down in the middle of the soft palate). The last 2 occurred at the edge of the stitches and scars and are most likely due to damage from the previous surgeries. These nuisances are very likely to recur.
I haven't decided what to do about mucocele number 3, but the home remedies aren't useful if the mucocele if really far back in your mouth or on the soft palate and if the underlying salivary glands are blocked/injured. All I can recommend is watch what you eat and how you eat. Wine really bothers mine as well as acidic foods like tomato sauce, grapefruit, etc. I don't eat scratchy things like chips, cookies, etc. Eat on the other side of your mouth (small bites and chew well) and drink lots of liquids with your meals. Softpalatemisery10
