Lump in mouth surgery
Hello everyone,
So i have only recently found out that the little lump on the inside of my lower lip is infact a mucocele cyst. In 2 days im going to see my doctor to arrange an appointment with a surgeon to remove this mucocele, for anyone that has already experienced this surgery could you please let me know, that when your surgery was completed and your lip had healed, did it affect the appearance of your lips? do they still look the same as they did before the mucocele showed on your lip??
i do NOT want a ugly lip from this surgery and i dont want it to affect my singing. SO PLEASE give me some feedback.
Thanks alot
Libby :)
i read that some people had surgeons that messed up causing the lip to be asymmetrical.. u may want to try laser treatment.. i heard that works better

hey libby..that exact picture is what i had for the last two months. id pop it tho
got it removed today.
how did yours go?
Hey Libby - that kinda looks like mine, a little smaller & lower on the lip but kind of in the same spot. I had mine removed by a good oral surgeon, with a scalpel, almost a year ago. Took about 15 minutes. Today I have a slight, VERY slight, scar ridge on my lip - I can see it, particularly when I exercise or otherwise get my BP up, and can feel it with my tongue. However, no one else can see it unless I pull my lip way out & point directly at it. And even when I do that, some people say I'm crazy and there's nothing there. So I'd say try to find a surgeon with a good reputation, & relax - everybody's surgery is different, but I think they usually go okay.
