Is it a ranula? Please help this hypochondriac!!!

Hi, I'm a 29 year old male. About a month to 2 months ago I thought I had a canker sore in my mouth, out of nowhere all of the sudden a huge rush of bad tasting clear fluid would come from under my tongue while I was at the movies. I ignored it. It sort of tasted like really really think slightly salty saliva. It happened 2 more times within the next 2 weeks, the second time i finally paid attention, when to the mirror and under the right side of my tongue, on the floor of my mouth I noticed it looks slightly enflamed and like a blister has popped (which I assumed is where the fluid came from)

It looked at though it was healing so I just brushed my teeth and moved on. 3 days later I looked at it and it was swelled up like a blister again, the size of an olive about, and it has a clear bubble on it, kind of like a weaker part of a balloon ready to break. It was filling up again, and it was going to pop again. it did pop again, and I noticed the fluid was slightly yellow tinged. slighty. 

I googled it, and came up with all the obvious stuff, ranulas and mucoceles and such. It calmed me down but being a hypochodriac I had a panic attack anyway. I was lucky enough to see my doctor the next day.

He looked in my mouth and said the salivary gland looked enflamed (when he saw me it has just popped the night before) and he gave me a strong antibiotic due the symptoms i complained about with the pus, he didn't seem concerned at all. I even asked him if he had seen something like this before and he said yes. He also said that if it keeps swelling up that he can recommend a good ENT to see if I might need to have the gland get surgery or what not.

Being a Hypochondriac, (my doctor has known me for years and knows I have anxiety issues) i ask him about cancer and such, and he just said..."its an inflamation, just finish the antibiotics."He knows my personality. 

A little bit of my medical history:
-I am Overwieght
-Unrelated to this problem I had a FULL BLOOD AND URINALYSIS less than 4 or so month ago, everything came out perfect, the doctor is also aware of this. 
- I suffer from gallstones, acide reflux and hiatal hernia, all diagnosed professional
- I have anxiety problems (hypochondria)

All I want to know is, has anyone had these similar experience as me with a gland infection? or a infected ranula? or whatever it is...I'm absolutely freaking out, even thought my doctor examined me, has seen the condition before was calm about my situation. 

Also, is there any advice for home care?
